Accidentally Ozarked

After leaving Wal-Mart, I spent one night in a casino parking lot and then headed for Arkansas. I was debating hitting up the Ozarks but wasn’t sure I wanted to get all up in them. I found a spot I wanted to visit, Natural Dam, and it looked like I could get to it without going through the mountain roads. It would be a long day on the road but it seemed doable. Tire Town, Day Two

Something I didn’t expect to happen after I left, was that I would become so reliant on others. I thought people might pop in and out of my life but that mostly, I’d be on my own. That I’d have all the alone time in the world and the freedom to do what I please. Don’t get me wrong, I felt so lucky, blessed and taken care of but I also felt like a little bit of a failure and a burden. Tire Town, USA, Population: My Tires

Here’s the scoop on my tires. When I got Mander I was told that she had basically new tires. I could see they had a ton of tread, and at first glance, looked terrific. Later on, it became apparent that they had a very small amount of dry rot and according to the manufacturing date on the tires, were over 10 years old.
